Like money, writing does not have to be a serious subject in your life. There are hidden advantages for writers and they really are just a step or two away and they are available to you. You might not be aware of them right this minute and that’s okay and that’s the subject of this blog.

It all comes down to this one phrase.

If what you are doing is not working for your overall best good, then it's time to become “willing to change”. Let's put this into perspective. Writing is like money and is a means of exchange. That's all it is. With money, we exchange currency with writing, we exchange ideas and stories.

What would you do if you didn't need money or new ideas for stories? What would you do if you had unlimited ideas for stories?

Two very important questions. What we need to do is shake up our writing concepts and ideas because there is a universe full of ideas to have.

I have found it is easier to teach a seminar or a person about sexuality than it is to teach them about changing their writing habit’s and beliefs. Writer's get very angry when their authoring beliefs are being challenged. So, the question is at any given moment in your writing sessions to create new ideas for stories and you are a bit stuck.

Is what you're thinking about yourself and your ability to write working for your overall best good right now?

If it's not, it's time for a change, or as I like to say, simply become “willing to change”. The universe will handle the rest. Even people who come to a seminar wanting desperately to create more and better writing ideas in their lives will go crazy when I try to help them change their limiting beliefs.

Stop right here and try saying this 3 times while looking at yourself in the mirror. 

"I am willing to change."

"I am willing to release old, negative beliefs." 

Sometimes, we have to work with these two affirmations a lot in order to open the space to begin creating prosperous change. It's the "willing to change" part that's where the magic happens.

Putting it in terms of money may better help us to understand. We want to release the "fixed income" mentality. Do not limit the universe by insisting that you have "ONLY" a certain salary, income, or a certain amount of creative ideas for new stories. 

That salary or creative idea is just a single channel; IT IS NOT YOUR SOURCE. 

Your supply comes from one source, the universe itself. There are an infinite number of channels. We must open ourselves to them. We must accept in our consciousness that supply can come from anywhere and everywhere. Then, when we walk down the street and find a penny or a dime, we say, "Thank you!" to the source. When that 2 am. idea for a new story pops up, we get up, make notes to remember it, and say thank you to the universe.

It probably will start out with small changes to start with, but new channels are beginning to open to you when you simply become "willing" to receive them. 

Exercise:

Post a couple of notes on your bathroom mirror, and before you start your morning shave (or makeup for the ladies), look yourself in the eye and repeat these affirmations.

• "I am open and receptive to new avenues of ideas & income."

• "I now receive my good from expected and unexpected sources"

• "I am an unlimited being accepting from an unlimited source in an unlimited way."

Your a writer and you know specifically what’s holding you back to your next greatest good, because you whisper them to yourself often. So you can customize these affirmations to yourself and you’re situation but make your affirmations positive, open, willing and receptive to new ideas and sources for your next greatest good. 

In a very short period of time (forming new habits generally takes about 30 days) you'll start to see and feel a new creativeness and abundance coming into your life and your writing. Then rejoice in the new beginnings and reward yourself when you recognize that a new idea is working for you.

When we work for increasing prosperity, in money, ideas or just in feeling better we always gain in accordance with our beliefs about what we deserve. 

So add to your affirmations:

• "I deserve to be successful in my writing"

• "I deserve to feel good"

• "I deserve to be happy"
